Over the course of last year I made a difficult but good decision to retire my beloved old boy Matty. He is now in the wonderful care of the Riding for the Disabled team in our area and is doing really well. They absolutely love him to bits.
Knowing I still very much wanted to continue riding and even pursue some training in showjumping and/or eventing (alongside dressage and showing) the search was then on to find a new mount. Everyone meet Tim Tam.
I am a firm believer in things happening in life for a reason, and Tim Tam is one of those good things. Although only a baby he's still a very big boy (16.3hh and almost all legs) but extremely quiet and gentle natured.
This past weekend I took him to his first ever dressage competition and placed fourth. A huge achievement when up against a pretty large group of riders! I was so proud of him.
Tim Tam also loves to jump so I can't wait to see where his potential can take us.
